Product Details and Benefits

Eco Green Living Compostable Cling Film clings, stretches, and seals exactly like conventional wrap but is made from plant-derived PBAT and PLA so it breaks down in home or industrial composting rather than persisting in landfill. The 30cm perforated roll comes in a recyclable cardboard dispenser with a built-in cutting blade and is BPA-free, fridge and freezer safe, and suitable for vegans. Certified compostable to EN13432, ASTM D6400, Australian AS5810 and AS4736 standards, making it a like-for-like swap with globally recognised credentials.

Dimensions & Quantity

Roll size: 30cm wide × 10m long
Pack size: 31cm (L) × 4.3cm (W) × 4.3cm (H), 181g
Units per case: 24 rolls
Shelf life: 300 days from production

How it works

Pull the desired length of cling film from the cardboard dispenser and press the roll firmly against the built-in cutting blade to tear cleanly. Stretch the film over the food, bowl, or container you wish to cover and press the edges down firmly — the natural cling holds it in place without clips or elastic. For wrapping food directly, place the item in the centre of the sheet, fold the sides over, and press to seal. Suitable for use in the fridge and freezer. Do not use in a microwave or oven.

Eco Credentials and Disposable guide

Made from plant-based materials — PBAT (94–98%) and PLA (2–6%) — with no microplastics, no polyethylene, and no petroleum-based plastics. One of the most certified compostable cling films available:

EN13432 – Industrial compostable (valid to March 2028)
EN13432 & ASTM D6400 – Industrial compostable (valid to Oct 2026)
ASTM D6400/D6868 – USA Standard (valid to June 2027)
Australia AS4736 – Industrial compostable (valid to Sept 2025)
Australia AS5810 – Home compostable (valid to April 2030)

Disposal: Used cling film can be placed in a home compost bin or an industrial composting collection where accepted. The recyclable cardboard dispenser box can be flattened and placed in your paper/card recycling.

Your Questions, Answered.

How long do your products take to break down?

Breakdown times depend on the environment. In a standard home garden compost heap, our bags typically degrade within 6–12 months. In industrial composting facilities where heat is controlled, they are designed to disintegrate completely within 12 weeks. Our materials are also certified to return to nature within 2 years in marine environments without leaving harmful residues.

What is the difference between "Biodegradable" and "Compostable"?

"Biodegradable" is a broad term that lacks a specific timeframe and can leave behind micro-residues. "Compostable" (specifically our TÜV OK Compost Home certification) is a strict standard. It verifies that our products will break down into non-toxic CO2, water, and minerals within a set period, ensuring the resulting soil is safe for growing plants.

Is the corn starch used in your bags GMO-free?

Yes, transparency is our priority. All plant-based starches used in our certified compostable bags are 100% GMO-free. Furthermore, our compostable cling wrap is formulated without any corn starch at all, instead utilizing a specialized plant-based blend for superior stretch and performance to serve as a high-quality alternative to conventional plastic.

Are your delivery methods and packaging sustainable?

Every order is shipped in either plant-based compostable bags or recyclable cardboard boxes secured with Kraft paper tape. Through our partnership with Cotswold Fayre, we provide carbon neutral delivery as standard on every shipment. This ensures your essentials reach you via logistics partners dedicated to minimizing their environmental footprint.
