Product Details and Benefits

Eco Green Living Compostable Aprons are a practical, environmentally responsible alternative to conventional single-use plastic aprons. Lightweight, transparent, and easy to wear, these aprons are ideal for kitchens, food preparation, hospitality, cleaning, healthcare, and other hygiene-sensitive environments. Made from certified compostable, plant-based materials, they offer the convenience and protection of a disposable apron without the environmental cost of traditional plastic. Supplied flat-packed to minimise storage space and packaging waste, with a one-size-fits-most design and easy tieback closure — perfect for eco-conscious homes and businesses alike.

Dimensions & Quantity

Pack size: 42cm (L) × 8cm (W) × 8cm (H), 1,345g
Units per case: 8 packs
Design: One-size-fits-most with tieback closure, transparent
Shelf life: 330 days from production

How it works

Remove an apron from the pack and unfold it fully. Slip the neck loop over your head and pull the apron down to cover your front. Wrap the two waist ties around to the front and tie securely. The transparent design allows clothing and name badges to remain visible — useful in professional environments. After use, fold the apron and dispose of responsibly in a composting collection where accepted, or in general waste. Do not reuse after contact with food waste, chemicals, or biological matter.

Eco Credentials and Disposable guide

Made from plant-based materials — PBAT (61–79%), corn starch (15–30%), and PLA (1–7%) — with no conventional plastic, no microplastics, and no BPA. Vegan and certified across international compostability standards:

Australia AS4736 (ABAP20009) – Home compostable (valid to Jan 2026)
Australia AS5810 (ABAP10059) – Industrial compostable (valid to Aug 2025)
USA Standard ASTM D6400/D6868
Vegetarian Society – Vegan accredited (valid to Feb 2027)

Disposal: Place used aprons in an industrial composting collection where accepted by your local authority. Where composting is not available, dispose of in general waste. The flat-packed recyclable cardboard packaging can be flattened and placed in your paper/card recycling.

Your Questions, Answered.

How long do your products take to break down?

Breakdown times depend on the environment. In a standard home garden compost heap, our bags typically degrade within 6–12 months. In industrial composting facilities where heat is controlled, they are designed to disintegrate completely within 12 weeks. Our materials are also certified to return to nature within 2 years in marine environments without leaving harmful residues.

Collapsible roWhat is the difference between "Biodegradable" and "Compostable"?w

"Biodegradable" is a broad term that lacks a specific timeframe and can leave behind micro-residues. "Compostable" (specifically our TÜV OK Compost Home certification) is a strict standard. It verifies that our products will break down into non-toxic CO2, water, and minerals within a set period, ensuring the resulting soil is safe for growing plants.

Is the corn starch used in your bags GMO-free?

Yes, transparency is our priority. All plant-based starches used in our certified compostable bags are 100% GMO-free. Furthermore, our compostable cling wrap is formulated without any corn starch at all, instead utilizing a specialized plant-based blend for superior stretch and performance to serve as a high-quality alternative to conventional plastic.

Are your delivery methods and packaging sustainable?

Every order is shipped in either plant-based compostable bags or recyclable cardboard boxes secured with Kraft paper tape. Through our partnership with Cotswold Fayre, we provide carbon neutral delivery as standard on every shipment. This ensures your essentials reach you via logistics partners dedicated to minimizing their environmental footprint.
