The part most people get wrong

Compostable doesn't automatically mean you can drop the bag in your garden compost bin. Pet waste carries pathogens that most home composting setups aren't designed to handle safely, regardless of what the bag itself is made from. Check your council's guidance on pet waste disposal in your area, most still require it to go in general waste, and use a certified compostable bag for the environmental benefit of the bag itself, not as a home composting shortcut for the waste inside it.
